These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of DFWDB. By using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use DFWDB.

What DFWDB is

DFWDB is a content and discovery platform for Dallas–Fort Worth families — community guides, events, neighborhood information, and a directory of local home service providers. When you request a quote from a provider listed on DFWDB, we connect you with that provider as an independent business. DFWDB is not a party to the agreement between you and any service provider.

Your account

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
  • You’re responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your password confidential.
  • Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account by contacting us.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use DFWDB for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
  • Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from DFWDB by automated means without our prior written permission.
  • Submit false, misleading, or harassing quote requests, reviews, or other content.
  • Interfere with the operation of the site, attempt to bypass security or access controls, or distribute malware or other harmful code.
  • Use DFWDB to send spam or solicit business outside the platform’s features.

Content you submit

You retain ownership of the content you post on DFWDB (reviews, comments, photos, quote descriptions). By submitting content, you grant DFWDB a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content as needed to operate and promote the site.

You’re responsible for what you submit and confirm that you have the right to share it. We may remove content that violates these Terms or that we believe is otherwise harmful, in our sole discretion.

Home services and quote requests

DFWDB lists home service providers and forwards quote requests to them on your behalf. We don’t perform the services ourselves and don’t guarantee the quality, pricing, availability, licensing, or workmanship of any listed provider. Any agreement, payment, or dispute related to services performed is between you and the provider.

We do screen providers for basic listing eligibility, but you should verify licensing, insurance, references, and reviews before hiring.

Intellectual property

DFWDB and its content — text, graphics, logos, software, and all original material — belong to DFWDB or its licensors and are protected by U.S. and international intellectual property laws. You may view and use DFWDB content for personal, non-commercial purposes. Any other use requires our prior written permission.

The DFWDB name and logo are trademarks of DFWDB. You may not use them without our permission.

Disclaimer of warranties

DFWDB is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any content (including third-party listings) is accurate or complete.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DFWDB and its officers, employees, and partners won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of DFWDB. Our total liability for any claim related to DFWDB won’t exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless DFWDB and its officers, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of DFWDB, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right.

Termination

You may stop using DFWDB at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if we believe you’ve violated these Terms or for any other reason in our reasonable discretion. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability — will survive.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law rules. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas for any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of DFWDB.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For material changes, we’ll provide additional notice. Your continued use of DFWDB after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
